I joined the Fort Worth Songwriters Association. I started going to open mics and realized quickly that I was the least "country" person there. I certainly wasn't a cowboy. I sat with one guy one night and, as he was chewing his tobacco, he was telling me about writing a song in jail one night. So I wrote this song in response to being around a bunch of cowboys. It's written out of admiration, not sarcasm.
